Comedy Workshops

Great news for budding comedians !

Local comic Noel James has kindly agreed to run a series of two Stand Up Comedy Workshops at the Riverside Centre, to be followed by a performance evening (venue and date yet to be arranged).

This event has already been promoted on S4C and promises to be very popular indeed.

The workshops are on the evenings of April 16th and 23rd . Book your place before it becomes a sell-out!

NPT Green Fayre cancelled

NPT Green Fayre cancelled

Regrettably NPT have had to cancel the Green Fayre that was planned for the 25th and 26th of February.

We hope that NPT will reorganise the Fayre for the summer.
Wildlife Walk
There was a the good turn out for our walk along the 4.5 mile Swansea Valley Wildlife Circular Walk on Sunday 19th. This walk takes you up the Swansea Canal and down Sustrans Route 43 cycleway back to the Centre. Not surprisingly we didn't see any otters, but we did see a wide range of birds including amongst others goosanders, dippers, tree creepers and a cormorant. Some birds including a wren and robin were so tame that our group of 12 didn't scare them off! There was a chance to do some basic winter tree identification by their buds (not as hard as you might think). The children on the walk (aged from 4 upwards!) were full of curiosity and loved looking down holes imagining what might be living down them. They also were delighted to find out how holly trees are spread!
